Anti-Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, subunit 3 γ, 52kDa Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Allgemeine Beschreibung
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 1 α (EIF2S1) is a 35kDa α subunit of the translation initiation factor EIF2. It is a crucial component for the formation of ternary complex eIF2-GTP-tRNAMet devoid of its phosphorylation.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 1 α (EIF2S1) helps in the catalysis of the first regulated step of protein synthesis initiation which mediates the binding of the initiator tRNA to ribosomal subunits. It functions primarily in protein synthesis by forming a ternary complex with Guanosine-5′-triphosphate (GTP) and initiator tRNA. EIF2S1 phosphorylation induces apoptosis or cell injury.
