(2-Chloro-5-nitro-4-pyridinyl)carbamic acid 1,1-dimethylethyl ester STR353 A mixture of 169A (995 mg, 5.75 mmol), di-tert-butyl dicarbonate (1.50 g, 6.90 mmol) and DMAP (140 mg, 1.15 mmol) in 60 mL of CH2 Cl2 was stirred for 1 hr. The reaction mixture was diluted with CH2 Cl2 and washed with 1 N HCl (2X), sat'd NaCl and dried over Na2 SO4. Concentration in vacuo gave 1.54 g of 169B.
