4.5. General procedure: preparation of glucuronide methyl ester
General procedure: To a stirred solution of methanol (19 ml) in an ice both was added thionyl chloride (900 mL) drop wise over a period of 1 min. After complete addition, the solution was stirred 1 h at room temperature to give chlorosulfurous acid methyl ester. Then glucuronide (0.1 eq) was added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for the indicated time. After the completion of the reaction, solvents were removed under reduced pressure and the desired products were obtained.
