Typical experimental procedure
General procedure: A 50 mL round-bottom flask equipped with acondenser and a Teflon-coated stirrer bar was charged with a solution ofaniline (1 mmol) in acetonitrile (5 mL) catalyst 1 (10 mol %) and vinyl ether(3 mmol) was added and the mixture was heated in air at 80 C for the time asmentioned in Table 1. The progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. Thesolvent was removed under reduced pressure, and the products were isolatedby column chromatography on silica gel (hexane/ethyl acetate) to giveproduct. The structures of the products were confirmed by comparison withreported spectroscopic data.
