13-4 Preparation Example 13-4: synthesis of 5-fluoro-1H-indole-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester

The compound (2.0g, 7.5mmol) obtained from Preparation Example 13-3 was dissolved in ethyl acetate (100ml). 5% Palladium/carbon (100mg) was added, and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours under hydrogen gas. After completion of the reaction, the mixture was filtered with Celite, distilled under reduced pressure and separated by column chromatography to obtain the title compound (1.3g, 90%). [602] NMR:¹H-NMR(400HMz, CDCl₃); δ 8.68 (br s, 1H), 8.04 (d, 1H), 7.40 (dd, 1H), 7.34 (d, 1H), 6.54 (dd, 1H), 3.95 (s, 3H)
