General procedure for thiocyanation of phenols and anilines derivatives
General procedure: To a mixture of aromatic substrate (1 mmol), THPDPE (1mmol) and HOAc (0.1 mmol) in H2O (4 mL), KSCN (1 mmol) was added and the solution was stirred at room temperature for appropriate time and monitored by TLC. After completion of the reaction, the mixture was quenched with Na2SO3 (1 M, 3 mL) and extracted by CHCl3 (3×5 mL). After evaporation of the solvent, the residue was recrystallized and purified using chromatography. All of the products were characterized on the basis of their melting points, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectral analysis and compared with those reported
