(28-1) 2-(3-Pyridyl)ethanol 3-Pyridylacetic acid hydrochloride (25 g) was treated successively as in the above Production Examples 3-3 and 3-4 to give the title compound (16.938 g) as a yellow oil (yield: 95.5%). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ(ppm) 2.86(2H, t, J=6.8Hz), 3.88(2H, t, J=6.8Hz), 7.22(1H, dd, J=4.8, 7.6Hz), 7.527(1H, d, J=7.6Hz), 8.42(1H, dd, J=2.0, 4.8Hz), 8.44(1H, d, J=2.0Hz).
