Steps:
1.A 2-(5-Methyl-1H-tetrazol-1-yl)nicotinic Acid
Part A 2-(5-Methyl-1H-tetrazol-1-yl)nicotinic Acid 2-Aminonicotinic acid (5 g, 36 mmole) was suspended in acetic anhydride (25 mL) then heated at reflux for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum. The resulting residue was slurried with ethyl acetate and hexane then filtered to provide 5 g of 2-methyl-4H-pyrido[2,3-d][1,3]oxazin-4-one.
