A solution of 2,4-dichloro-benzamide (19.0 g, 0.1 mol), P4S10 (8. 88 g, 0.2 eq.) and NaHCO3 (16.8 g, 2.0 eq.) in toluene (200 ml) was heated under reflux for 1 hour. After concentration, the residue was purified through a bed of silica using DCM/AcOEt 80/20 as eluent.
