23 Synthesis of intermediate (42)
In a 1-neck 500 mL flask, 10.0 g (48.2 mmol) of Intermediate (41), 12.2 g (48.2 mmol) of Bis(pinacolato)diboron, 786.6 mg (963.2 μmol) of Pd(dppf)Cl2-CH2Cl2, 14.2 g (144.5 mmol) of KOAc and 240 mL of 1,4-dioxane, followed by stirring at 100 °C for 12 hours. After the reaction was completed, it was cooled to room temperature, and the reactant was passed through a celite pad and concentrated under reduced pressure. The reaction mixture was purified by silica gel column chromatography (CHCl3) to obtain 10.5 g (yield: 72.9%) of the compound (intermediate (42)) as a white solid.
