A mixture of compound 1 (2.0 g, 13.6 mmol), iodomethane (5.8 g. 40.8 mmoi), and K2C03 (5.5 g, 40.8 mmoi) in DMF (30 ml) was stirred at 80°C overnight. Tothe mixture was added EA (100 ml) and aqueous saturated NaC1 (100 ml), and the resulting reaction mixture was stilTed for 30 nun. The organic layer was separated, washed by aqueous saturated NaC1 (50 mi*2), dried and concentrated, purified by silica gel column to afford compound 2 (1.5 g, 68%) as a yellow solid.
