Steps:
General procedure: The ester was then solubilized in EtOH and treated with hydrazine, hydrate (5 equiv.). The mixture was refluxed overnight and solvents were evaporated. Diethyl ether was added and the formed precipitate was filtered and washed with the same solvent to yield the expected hydrazide compound as a powder.
