3.1.General procedure for the synthesis of pyrazoles and diazepines
General procedure: The hydrazine/hydrazide/o-phenylenediamine (0.5 mmol) and 1,3-diketone (0.55 mmol) were mixed in a closed microwave tube and subjected to microwave irradiation on a CEM Discover SP microwave system in standard mode at 120 C for 5-20 min. Upon completion of the reaction, the crude product may be purified by passing through silica gel column eluting with 20% ethyl acetate in hexane to afford the pure products. The characterization data of the synthesized compounds are in agreement with earlier reported data (ESI).
