Brief Introduction:
BPO75% is a free flowing granular form of water damped diacyl peroxide, used as initiator of polymerization in styrene, acrylic resins; and curing agent for unsaturated resin and elastomers.
Melt point:103-106°C(decompose)slightly soluble in water, ethanol, soluble in aether, acetone, chloroform and benzene.
Initiator BPO/Dibenzoyl peroxide for PVC/silicon rubber introduction
1. Chemical Name: BPO/Dienzoyl peroxide
2. Property: BPO is easily decomposed, burned or even exploded by heat and friction. It loses moisture and is extremely unstable and insoluble in water. It is soluble in aromatic, styrene, methyl methacrylate, and soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, chloroform, etc. .
For the safety of use or storage, the water content is generally about 25%.
3. Application:
It is mainly used as initiator and crosslinker of pvc, polyacrylic acid, acrylic ester, vinyl acetate solvent polymerization, neoprene rubber, sbs and methyl methacrylate. It is used as curing agent and crosslinker for silicone rubber and fluorine rubber in rubber industry. It can also be used as bleaching agent and oxidant in chemical production.
It can be used for free radical halogenation, free radical sensitization, oxidative cyclization reaction, reaction of hydrogen olfactory acid and olefin, Markovnikov addition reaction and other free radical reactions, common initiators for free radical polymerization reactions.
