index (> 2.4), When combined with other colours, soft pastel shades can be achieved.
Titanium dioxide is insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, and organic
solvents. It dissolves slowly in hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. It is almost
insoluble in aqueous alkaline media
