背景（Background）

白細(xì)胞介素-1β（IL-1β）也稱為分解代謝素，是一種細(xì)胞因子蛋白，在人類中由IL1B基因編碼。IL-1β前體被胱天蛋白酶1（白細(xì)胞介素1β轉(zhuǎn)化酶）切割。胞漿巰基蛋白酶裂解產(chǎn)物形成成熟的IL-1β。

IL1β是結(jié)構(gòu)相關(guān)的多肽，在人類中具有約21%的氨基酸（aa）同一性。這兩種蛋白質(zhì)都是由各種各樣的細(xì)胞在炎癥因子、感染或微生物內(nèi)毒素的作用下產(chǎn)生的。雖然IL1α和IL1β是獨(dú)立調(diào)節(jié)的，但它們與相同的受體結(jié)合并發(fā)揮相同的生物學(xué)作用。
