NPC2分子背景
尼曼-匹克病C2型蛋白（NPC2）也稱為附睪分泌蛋白E1和人附睪特異性蛋白1（HE1）。NPC2是一種細胞內膽固醇轉運蛋白，與NPC1協同作用，在膽固醇從內體/溶酶體室排出中起著重要作用。NPC1和NPC2都起著細胞“標簽團隊二元體”（TTD）的作用，催化膽固醇在晚期內體（LE）的多囊環(huán)境中的動員，以通過LE的限制性雙層實現排出。此外，NPC2結合晚期內體/溶酶體內腔中LDL釋放的未酯化膽固醇，并將其轉移到NPC1 N末端結構域的膽固醇結合袋中。此外，NCP2的分泌形式通過刺激ABCG5/ABCG8介導的膽固醇轉運來調節(jié)膽汁膽固醇分泌。
