TAT-Gap19 is a Cx mimetic peptide, a specific connexin43 half channel (Cx43 HC) inhibitor peptide with a sequence containing 20 amino acids. TAT-Gap19 does not inhibit the corresponding Cx43 GJC. TAT-Gap19 can penetrate the blood-brain barrier and alleviate liver fibrosis in mice.
