Dendrotoxin K is a toxin extracted from tree cobra. It is a Kv1.1 channel blocker peptide. The sequence contains 57 amino acids and contains three pairs of disulfide bonds. Dendrotoxin K releases glutamate into CA3 neurons in a time-dependent manner by controlling presynaptic spikes.
