Nitenpyram is a chloronicotinyl insecticide; orally administered flea adulticide. Nitenpyram is used as an ectoparasiticide.

Nitenpyram has the advantages of super high efficiency, broad spectrum, low dosage, low toxicity (slightly toxic preparation level), long-lasting effect, no harm to crops, and safe use. Its aphid killing effect is 10 times that of other agents. More than times, it is a new variety promoted in China in recent years to replace highly toxic organophosphorus pesticides. Nitenpyram is another new product developed after imidacloprid and acetamiprid.
